Hello all you faithful St. Ambrose Friends! It’s only been one day, but I already miss praying the Mass with you. Right now, I’m sitting in the rectory backyard, thinking about what projects I can do around the house. (I’m going to “turn-over” the garden and get the yard ready for spring). How about you? It seems like I’m always planning the next meal – by the time this is over – I’ll be as big as a HOUSE! LOLOLL!
I just want you to know that I’m thinking about you and praying for you. I’ve also made sure that our church will remain open – the hours will be from 8:00AM – 2:00PM each day. Additionally, the church will continue to be cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis so that you will feel comfortable to visit and pray. I had planned on a nice Feast Day celebration for St. Joseph’s Day, Thursday, March 19
th – including St. Joseph’s fresh pastries for everyone. However, the bakery preparing my order has closed! Oh well.
But guess what?
We are all going to survive this; we are going to be stronger and wiser than before.
God is still God. He didn’t take a nap or go on vacation. He’s right here -
personally - in our church! He’s also there with you in your home, or wherever you are at the moment. Jesus Himself said “Fear is useless. What is needed is trust”, and I know, dear St. Ambrose friends, you all believe that.
Please let me know if I can do anything for you or if you need anything. I’m still visiting the hospital and doing everything needed to make our church a spiritual gem. Join with me in prayer, from wherever you are each day, in praying the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. Let’s “stick together” through prayer. This has always been our strength.
I’m here if you need me.
